We got our first henshin for Gobusters on Sunday, and I also saw the episode in full. First off, while the henshin sound of “It’s Morphin’ Time” is awesome, it isn’t quite what I expected. I thought that they would shout “It’s Morphin’ Time” themselves, but it’s a computer voice that does it. As for my thoughts on the episode, it was…alright. I’m a bit biased towards the more serious sentai, like Shinkenger and Gokaiger, and I really don’t like the silliness of Go-onger and Goseiger. But this show took the silliness to a whole new level with references not just to Power Rangers (The Megazord, Morphin’ Time), but they also threw in a bunny robot (Yellow Buster’s Buddyroid) who replies to commands with “Roger, Rabbit!” Parts of it were just grating and annoying, but I can see where it will be a fun show. Coming off the love letter to older fans known as Gokaiger, it’ll be a good change to bring some more younger audiences in, so while I’m not on board yet, I’ll keep an eye on it. At least it started out silly, instead of Goseiger which teased me with a few serious moments and then backed away from that quickly.

However, I’ve had a string of bad luck when it comes to getting a job that allows me to work on the strip and promote it, so I’m wondering if any of you would be willing to help.
